January 25th: This is a KAL with the ladies at All Tied Up Yarns in Auburn NY.

I cast on 72 stitches instead of the pattern required 58, this is the number you will arrive at if you add one extra 12count for the 12st pattern repeat and 1 extra stitch in the beginning and ending garter stitch border.
58 +12+1+1=72
I am also adding one extra “ridge” (two rows) in my beginning garter border. (8 rows instead of 6)

I used German twisted CO (also called Norwegian CO) This is a very stretchy cast on that I love and because this wrap is going to be quite firmly blocked I need to have a CO stitch that will stretch with the work as suggested.

Most of us are doing three repeats of chart A + C to make this a wider longer wrap.

One ball of this yarn on size 8 needles took me to row 50 on the second repeat of chart A. For anyone who is calculating their yardage this is approximately 136 rows of 72 st per row.

January 30th: Started second ball. Two repeats of chart A is measuring about 18.5”
