Notes

This is my first try at dyeing my own yarn.

I bought the i-dye’s by Jacquard at JoAnn’s and some cheap wool to try….and loved the whole process.

I made one skeins out of the two balls of yarn and soaked them in vinegar water bath. I removed as much of the water. Prepared a table and made “dye stock” then mixed my colors for dye baths.

Once I colored the yarn and was happy with the placement I steamed and rinsed according to all the wonderful help from Ravelry members tips.

Hung it up to dry, wound it, then knit these lovely socks and watched this funny ball change to this wonderful pair of socks.

I think I’m addicted!

I have already started my next dye project. I knitted my first sock blank and dyed it, can’t wait to see how it turns out.
