This is a beautiful scarf that looks lovely on the person I gifted it to.

It did knit up slower than I thought, and it is not a symmetrical pattern. Once I understood that it made it easier to knit on autopilot.

What I mean is that when you’re looking at your work as you are knitting rows, the left side is different than your right side. And if you lay your work lengthwise the top could be facing what you are calling the correct side while the bottom will be facing the wrong side or vice versa. I hope that didn’t confuse you more!

This scarf does need to be longer in order to wrap around the neck to get that full Victorian look.
