Trying my first sock blank!

Made my own blank by knitting two strands of yarn together….getting the correct yardage and a ball to knit from was a Lucille Ball episode in itself.

Dyed the blank and was able to record all my errors.

1. forgot to soak my yarn first in the vinegar bath
2. did all the right math for “colored striped rows” then applied it incorrectly. (no stripes)
3. didn’t use enough dye color.
4. changed the size and pattern of the sock after the blank was made so the math misapplied becomes moot.

So pictures are taken everything is documented, so I am already thinking about my next blank!
