Notes

These beanies are on going projects for the Homeless Teens Group. I wish to have a bright start for this year, so for January I made a yellow& green ribbed beanie with blue trim. The cloudy/ash striped beanie and a sunny blue ribbed beanie were inspired by the thunderstorm in spring. The following April beanie was made from Patons chest nut tweed classic wool yarn. The dark brown tweed yarn looks interesting blended with multiple color scraps.
April showers bring may flowers.

Thanks for friends from the Valentine swap, I used the gift I received - magenta wool yarn for may beanie. In summer I made a beanie with dark blue lattice, one with multiple green and another one in pale blue.

Denim fabric was in this summer & fall. I tried out the denim dye yarn from Vanna’s choice. The pattern came out pretty subtle. At the same time I stocked up several Michael’s yarns so I made a purple beanie.

When it was close to finish line, I washed all hats in the washer and felted the wool beanies by error. So I remade a beanie with pumpkin color Homespun yarn, one blue with blended band, and the last one with green and white intarsia. In my new year wish, I planned to learn cable and intarsia. I am pretty glad that I finally accomplished one goal.
