Notes

11/25 Done and done. Super easy peasy. I did, however, make a few mods.

  • Used a DK weight yarn
  • I started and ended with two ridges of garter (still rolls a little)
  • For the body of the cowl (after the first row of k2tog-yo) I did the following: 12 rows of knitting, a row of k2tog-yo, 5 rows of knitting, another row of k2tog-yo and then 12 more rows of knitting
  • I did a crochet bind off with an I-hook

I’m really happy with this project and I can’t wait to wear it out with my fancy new Kenneth Cole wool coat!

Blogged about here

11/19 - So there I was, just knitting away when I noticed that I hadn’t counted my stitches correctly and I’d skipped 2 rows before the lace row.

Damnit.

After a couple of days of thinking about what to do (cuz I realllly just don’t want to frog it back), it danwed on me to turn my mistake into a “design feature”. I think. Let’s just say that I have an idea on how to make my mistake cool. Thank goodness I went an bought an extra skein of yarn! Details soooooon!

11/11 - I couldn’t help myself…I had to cast something on my new Knit Picks Harmony interchangeable circular needles. LOVE THEM!!!

Yarn is a gift from nodice =)
