6/20 Was going to do a fancy-schmancy border but decided to go with a couple of rounds of single and double crochet and a final round of reverse crochet. The round of reverse crochet gives it lots of texture which I think the border needed so it looks nice and finished and bumpy. =)
6/17 Everything is pieced together! It took a lot of research and a couple of tries but I finally decided on a border. Should be wrapped up and awesome very, very soon.
6/12 All motifs are DONE!!! Time to start piecing them together - which oddly enough I really enjoy doing! Thinking of joining to with a darker green yarn and then working that green into the border somehow. YEAH!!! This is finally closer to being FINISHED!!!
5/22/2014 Going to try and finish this for the 2014 Stashdash (the knitgirllls yearly stash down projet). However, its going to be for my furry love Bailey-pup and not me. He loves a good blanket and I’m really not that motivated to make this human size any longer (I’ll save that for my Garter Squish). I’m thinking 6x6 or 7x7.
9/27 Woohoo! 12 squares down! I totally have the pattern down now and can crank a couple of these out at a time. The new concern is how big to make this thing now….8x8 squares or 8x10 or 9x10??? All I know is this thing is eating up yarn like a 16 year-old boy eating pizza.
Do I get bonus points for working on an acrylic/wool blend afghan in 90-degree weather?
9/20 Took me forever to choose a yarn and color but I think the green in Wool-Ease is going to be cute and comfy. If my math is right it should take about 12-13 skeins to make this. Yeah coupons!
