This hat has a knitted ribbing, which I like better than crocheted one.

Finally, after many, many tries and frogging the ribbing is now to my almost satisfaction. (Not 100% happy though, but will not red-do it again).

I didn’t think 144 stitches for the ribbing sounded good, so I went down to 130, which was way too many. I went down to 82, but managed to bind off too tightly, same happened again, and then too loose, too tight,
aaarrrggghhh.
Finally, I had 88 states, and 2.25 mm needle and a loose
Bind off. So, this is it, Might be too loose for a child, but perhaps better for an adult.
