I saw an elegant woman at the farm shop wearing a beautiful poncho…I kept looking and looking haha…then as we were paying for our goods, she was in the queue behind us so I told her how lovely she looked. I asked her if she’s made it herself and she said no but someone had knitted it for her. The lovely lady couldn’t tell me the name of the pattern but told me to visit a nearby woolshop. She said that she thought it was A Rowan design

It was Sunday so I couldn’t visit the shop but I found it online and they had just one rowan poncho pattern for sale. This one! I found the pattern on ravelry and I ordered the yarn there and then. This colour was on sale so it was meant to be

At first I really didn’t enjoy knitting with this ‘sticky’ yarn but as the poncho progressed, I fell into a lovely rhythm

I really love this garment and I feel it will get a lot of wear
