Blog post here.

Well, since there was no gauge swatch I just went at it with the recommended weight of yarn and needles.
Mine turned out wearable (woo!), but I think my hands are a bit non-standard.
I have quite small hands and wrists, so it’s probably a bit looser (not that I mind- rather that than pinchy).

The main thing though is how LONG they turned out. The pattern photo shows them coming just past the base of the fingers, but mine almost went right to the end of my fingers!
However, I can just fold the ribbing back and it looks good, so that’s okay.
I also quite like that I have the option to leave them long on those cold days for maximum protection!

I tried out the circular tubular cast on here, and it was totally hellish to execute lol. I am not exaggerating when I say it took me hours lol. Lots of screw ups, and you know what? I don’t really think it was worth it…
This cast on doesn’t seem uber-amazing to me!
Maybe something to revisit later when I have more skills!

Also, I found the cabling really challenging! I was glad I sped up a bit by the end of it. Feels good to grow my skills :)
