Modifications:
I substituted black for the purple and natural for the orchid.
I wanted the towels to be a little bit wider than the original draft, and I also wanted to include a more crammed selvedge than I have used before, so I added one 8-thread repeat to the first group of warp threads, plus 8 threads for cramming and 1 for a floating selvedge. I left the second group of warp threads as is. For the large orange sections, I added 2 pattern repeats (16 ends total), left the next two color stripes as is, and then for the last color stripe, I added 13 ends (1 ½ repeats--5,3,5) plus 8 ends for the crammed selvedge and 1 for the floating selvedge.
The crammed selvedge was sleyed 4 threads per dent for two dents at each edge, including the fs, but when I wove the header, I didn’t like the way the edges looked, so I took out the header, re-sleyed the edges so that there were 3 ends per dent for the first 2 and last 2 dents, including the fs. The result was improved.

I got better results without a temple and beating on a closed shed. My beat was much more consistent and I got 20 ppi
