When I purchased this yarn, this pattern came with it. I was originally planning on a different sweater, but I thought a basic raglan would showcase the pretty lavender hue.

I would certainly recommend this pattern to a new sweater knitter. It is a basic sweater that most of us can knit in our sleep, but the endless modification options make this a true utility pattern. The pattern guides you thru all different options for shaping, balloon sleeves, and options for stripes. There are stitch counts and schematics to guide you thru every step. Again for a new sweater knitter, this pattern and its companion guide will hold your hand thru making a sweater you will reach for again and again.

I knit the bulk of this sweater while traveling to and around Ireland, finishing my sleeves back here in New York. Such a great pattern to travel with or for some mindless tv knitting.

I made my sleeves tapered and ever so slightly longer than the pattern called for. I made the body slightly longer as well.

I have plenty of positive ease with a slight crop and no body shaping. Difficult to photograph sweaters in 90 degree heat, but we got it done I think this will look great dressed up and down in fall. I love the color.
