Notes

I bought this wool in Ireland this summer. I really have a thing for tweed!
I loved the cable detail of the sweater, it is simple and subtle but so appealing.
I did opt to make the neck a bit wider, mainly because of the wool I chose I just didn’t want it close to my neck. I modified the length of the yoke by ~ an inch. I also really disliked how the eyelets looked with my knitting so I restarted and just used M1 instead of YO for the raglan increases. For the body I found it helpful to put markers around the cable and ribbing sections. Cabling without a cable needle (and removing the eyelets) makes this a great TV knit.

I knit the sleeves two at a time, matched the ribbing to my neckline width, and tried on repeatedly to get my preferred sleeve length.

I referenced my Wild Lavender sweater for overall schematics to get my ideal positive ease without looking sloppy on this project.
