Notes

I joined this KAL with the idea of knitting this in a jewel toned marl. I own a very similar style of sweater from Madewell in a navy, and have a bright blue marled mock neck sweater from Free People, so was thinking red or green which led me to corduroy. Instead, I took it to a moody, hunter in the woods place by pairing the green with sock monkey. I very much like this place.

Knit the neck about 3 1/2 inches and did the optional German short rows for the back. Split for sleeves earlier than called for (at about the 9 inch mark) so had less stitches for body (which is fine, because I don’t look great in anything with a ton of positive ease). As a result I had to add length to both my body and arm length. I opted to knit full length sleeves with four rounds of decreases every 6th round. Sleeve cuffs are about 2 inches. Opted for the split hem— the front has 4 inches twisted rib, back 5 inches twisted rib. The great thing about knitting a top down sweater for yourself is that you can try it on for fit as often as you need.
