So… my grandma passed away last year, and I made her a shawl several years before that. That one shawl is all I have left from her, physically. At the time she passed I was 34 weeks pregnant with my third baby, she was so looking forward to meeting him.
Wearing that shawl myself feels odd, so I took it apart and used the yarn for this project. My grandma picked the yarn and color herself and she loved how soft it was. I already love this suit and it’s not even done yet. I love the thought of something from her keeping my boy cozy and warm <3

24/10 FINALLY mastered the technique of knitting two of something on one needle. I hate doing sleeves and legs separately… I always end up doing one sleeve/leg and then it’s taking me forever to knit the second one. Single-sock-syndrome :’(

26/10 Done with the body! Yay! Only the buttonband and some weaving in left. Hopefully it’ll be completely done tomorrow.
As you can see from the picture apparantly I used yarn from different dye lots for grandma’s shawl. I never realized until I took the pic with flash on… it’s not that obvious irl although I can’t unsee it now ofc. However I’m not too bothered with it.

Excellent pattern, measurements are accurate. I like that this suit is a bit more tailored, not as slouchy as most patterns. Might just make it again as I have loads of yarn in this weight lying around. I love how fluffy and comfortable it looks on him.
