Notes

I have a love-hate relationship with this pattern, honestly. The triangles were easy enough to make (although by about the 9th one, you’re ready to gouge your eyes out with your hook), but the JOINING aspect was a bit of a pain. Seeing as this was my first time joining as I went, the learning curve became more of a twisty straw.

..my BIGGEST mistake with this entire pattern was that I chose to go up a hook size from the beginning (pattern calls for an H, but I used an I hook). It looked like that was going to put me at the right gauge, but you could probably fit 2 of me in this top, heh. Maybe I just need more boobs and butt, heh (shrug).

ANYhoo…the top is pretty enough, but I just wish I could twitch my nose and make it smaller. Maybe it’ll shrink slightly in the wash….I hope.

TIP: When she says “connect,” she means to join the ch2 you just made to the the next big loop (the chain 5 space) on the opposite triangle. You are basically going back and forth between triangles, chaining 2, and then connecting with a single crochet to the next big loop on the opposite triangle. When you get to the double crochet shells, you’ll be singling into the THIRD dc in the center of the shell (the shells are made up of 5 doubles). Hope that helps someone. I know it threw me at first, heh.
