Started 4 days ago and have finished and assembled the jacket but still have to make the decorative collar..which I’ll probably be doing tomorrow. LOVE this jacket so far..although it’s been a pain at times; e.g. single crochet single crochet single snooooorrree lol. Looks super cool so far though--even without the hippie collar (which I LOVE and can’t wait to make and attach)..
Odd thing I’m noticing with this pattern though: I’m working it according to the medium size, but my measurements are coming out EXACTLY like the small measurements in the pattern. Weird. Thankfully, the jacket fits me perfectly.
FYI: Attaching the sleeves is somewhat tricky. I’ve actually been attaching everything with whip stitches rather than the slip stitches suggested in the pattern. Makes assembly a little easier for me.

FINISHED!! FIFTH day and I’m FINISHED!! And I LOVE it. I’ll be posting pics later :) Silly me, I forgot to take progress photos--which is the whole point of posting a “project” facepalm :/ Lesson learned. I’ll do so on my next project on here..
Anyhoo…this is the coolest thing I’ve made thus far and sure to be my favorite wardrobe piece this Fall/Winter. The neck-piece was SUPER fun and quick to do. LOVE Sara’s patterns. She proves that crochet CAN be cool. This jacket is certainly that ;)
Bottom line:
1) Super cool, easy pattern..although all the single crochets may make you a little stir crazy lol.
2) Neck-piece is fun, quick, and easy (and a nice break from the monotony of single crochet).
3) Assembly can be tricky, but the pay-off is well worth it.
Highly recommended project! :)
