I used colour shade: tutu 272
I have had this yarn for years but could never find a pattern to do it justice…until now. This is a version of the Panda pattern not a direct copy - I changed the last two rounds of the motif to suit an idea I had. I wanted the flower design to really stand out on this scarf, as the design is all about the stitches here, especially when using only one colour. It worked out beautifully, every stitch completed was defined and emphasised. I would love to do another in a different colourway but it has now sadly been discontinued.
I also changed the Pom Pom edging slightly. I noticed other people who have made this scarf omitted the crochet balls entirely and some joined the ends to make a cowl instead. This equally looks lovely though in my case I thought the scarf really needed this embellishment. I did however sew them directly to the scarf ends as you can see in the photo and not dangle them on a chain stitch of different lengths as the design shows.
Now it’s finished I’m really pleased with it. It’s a quick and easy pattern to make up and looks great on. X
