I’m going to try this pattern but upsized for Aran-weight yarn. And once I’m past the ribbing, I’m going to stripe two grellow aran yarns to have enough yardage.

Jan 10, 2023: Cast on 84 sts with US 7s using the Knitted Wit Aran. For the record, this yarn is a dream to knit with! Soft and bouncy!

Jan 11: Knit 2x2 ribbing for 3 inches, then switched to stockinette on US 8s. Alternating the Grellow and Golden Delicious one row at a time.

Jan 14: Knit until 7 inches from the cast-on edge and then started the decreases, continuing to alternate every row.

Jan 15, 2023: And finished! I’m really happy with how this turned out. It fits my medium-sized adult head, but without a lot of give. It would need to be larger to fit larger heads than mine for sure. Would be great for a teen!

Yarn used:
Golden Delicious - 35.8 g, or 64.4 yards
Grellow - 14 g, or 28 yards
