I wanted to make a nice little blanket that I didnt want to spend too much time on knitting or crocheting… but in the end I ended up spending so much time on the border itself that I think I could have just made the blanket in the first place…

Anyways when I was shopping at Joann yesterday, I found this really cool flannel material with very cute writings on it made to welcome a new born into this world… So I decided I just had to have it… I ended up buying a yard of it and lined it with another yard of fabric that I had at home…

I then crocheted a border with the lovebug yarn on the wrong side so that only the bobbles are visible on the right side and it out just the way I wanted!!! I ended up crocheting only 1 row and I think it turned out great…

The reason the border took so long was because the skip stitch blade I ordered just didnt work like the way it was supposed to, so I had to punch holes as I worked the border using a stitch remover and this took ages to do! I would punch a whole and then crochet into it….This was such a lengthy process that I thought I would never complete it but I did and in the end I think its worth all the effort!
