I followed the basic pattern for arms, legs, body and bunny head. But then I realized I don’t have enough yarn for the ears.
So I turned the arms into “ears” (by not stuffing them and sewing them together, and onto the head in such a way so that they curved to the front.
Finally, I divided up the last bit of yarn I had into 2 equal lengths, and made “arms” this way:
- CO 12
- Join and knit in round 4 times (or however many times I had yarn for)
- k1, ssk, k1, k2tog twice (8 st around)
- knit around
- thread remaining yarn through sewing needle, and draw through the stitches (around from 1st to last stitch). Pull yarn tight and tuck back inside arm (where no one can see!)
For the scarf, I used some random ball of hazy yarn (probably had alpaca since it shed like a mofo!). I measured out a length 3 times as long as I want the scarf, long-tail CO enough stitches to use up the whole tail, then knitted back and forth in garter st for 3 rows, then bond off and sewed in the ends. Then I just tied the scarf around the bunny so it looked “nice.”
The eyes and X for nose are there after much trial and error… it helped to have seen many examples of what other people did.
