4-27 Woo Hoo!! My yarn finally came!
4-28 Wow…it was a real pain to just get going on this… I kept switching back and forth from dpns to magic loop… finally i got into it with the dpns without getting all confused… did 13 rounds before bedtime!
5-1 Finally moved to circulars (round 27), thank God. Now it’s going pretty smoothly… trying to stick to my 10 rounds a day! Looks like this yarn is gonna work up beautifully!
5-17 OMG…that sewn cast-off took SO LONG. It took longer than actually knitting the darn thing. But I suppose it was worthwhile, as my gauge was a little on the small side, so I was able to stretch it out better for blocking. I REALLY hated this part.
5-19 So I’m starting the outer band for the 3rd time now… I ended up with an extra stitch on the 4th row and I can’t figure out why. Grrr!!
5/29 OMG this outer ring is gonna take me forever…
7/22/10 - I can’t believe it. I finally finished! That outer ring was a brutal towards the end, but I did it. The last straw was when I realized I started seaming it together with the medallion turned the wrong way, lol. I wanted to cry…I had to just walk away from it for a couple of days, but tonight I had the eye of the tiger and I finished. The photos don’t really capture the true color, but it’s a really beautiful, soft coral shade. Also, the photos were taken BEFORE blocking. I LOVE THIS! (although I’ll never knit this pattern again, haha)
