Dev lost my phone & his brand new earbuds last Friday. I was NOT a happy lady. But this morning, on the way over to the dumpster, I found both of them smashed into the mud at the end of the driveway! I cleaned everything off I somehow everything is still functional. I made this little baggie to make sure the earbuds can be found easier (since it’s got some neon on them) & hopefully protect them a little.
11/25 - Asked Dev what color he wants & he said “duh?!! what’s my favorite colors?” which are bright green & black. I used the black Babe I had leftover & fished out some odds & ends of different color greens that were floating around the house. I cast on 20 stitches on size 5 DPNs. I knit about seven rows then cut a yard of neon yellow mini-paracord. I laid the cord around the top while I folded it over & knit the edge back down onto the live row, creating a casing. I knit four rows down & did one row of the green. The green was a LOT thicker than I expected so I did one row green to every four rows black. I did two rows of a bright green, two rows of an ombre green which was slightly darker & I’m pretty sure was some leftover Red Heart super saver from Finger Knitting Club, then one last row of the green section of my leftover Gina. I turned it inside out & did a three needle bind off for the bottom. All in all, SUPER freaking easy & fast, I think it took less than a half hour start to finish. I wove in the ends as I went & tucked the last row tail into the bottom of the bag so when it was right side out it looked great. I tied a slip knot in the cord to make it stay shut & added a small chained loop that I attached to a key ring. The earbuds fit perfect. It’s so cute & tiny plus I like how the greens do an ombre from dark at the bottom up to a bright green, topped off with a neon yellow cord. Super cool! Now if only it does it’s job in preventing the earbuds from disappearing (and we’ll see if the pouch doesn’t disappear too LOLz).
