A KAL with Hiroaphasic, Frosine and HegeKlaseie.
This is the Cosmic sister sweater with Hiroaphasic who is knitting hers in Cosmic Wonder Dust on Tosh DK.
March 6 - swatch completed. Preliminary measurements looks promising. Since I’m knitting in worsted weight my gauge is bigger so I am knitting one size smaller than I normally would.
March 26 - Making mad progress this weekend in the train to Cologne! I am nearly done with the 25 rows of the raglan.
April 5 - Sleeves are separated and knitting the 5 reps of the body. Still a very relaxing knit and I love seeing how the cosmic silver colors lay out as I knit.
Note: knit the bottom ribbing with 3,75mm needles.
Oct 15 - picked up my Portage again after a long break. Tubular cast off took me two evenings to finish. Cast off using 4,5mm DPN. It takes a long time but it’s worth it. Looks fab. Now time to knit the sleeves!

Sleeves on 4,5mm:
Picked up seven stitches instead of 11. The sleeves were way too loose. I started the decreases at every 5 rows for the first 9 reps for my size and then every 4 rows for another 9 rows. This got me to right above my wrist and I started the ribbing. The sleeves fits my arm perfectly without it being too baggy.
- 40 rows of ribbing on 3,75mm before knitting another 40 rows on 4mm for the turning of the sleeve.

I knit the pockets doing all the regular decreases and since I’m knitting with worsted weight yarn I didn’t need to keep knitting to make the pockets long enough to reach edge of the cable. Finished seaming the pockets using basic mattress stitch.
I ended up using only 9 skeins for my sweater.
