For Vicki Boster’s year-long Pink Scarf Project. Decided to make a scarf that would be very soft and very light, but long enough to wrap front to back to front for warmth if needed.
Swatched (!) on US6; looks pretty but would like to use US8 for softer, looser fabric, but house is full of boxes and I don’t see my needles anywhere. Note: added 3 stitches at bottom edge for knitted i-cord to make it stronger and more stable. Top edge will probably be folded over to wear, so will be soft but also somewhat protected from wear. Or so I’m imagining.

Note: Put project aside before 25 feb. Picked up 17 march. Stitch by stitch.

22 Sept 2013 So embarrassing! This project has been sitting for weeks, and I just realized all I needed to do is bind off three stitches and wash and block. Sheesh. Soaking now!

24 Sept 2013 Finally dry. Blocking was tricky - I’m spoiled by socks! Looks pretty, and is very soft and light. Fingers crossed the recipient will enjoy it.
