I love many of the mods I’ve seen in other people’s projects, but as this is my first grown-up sweater, I’m going to stick to the pattern as written. Already feel like I’m way outside my comfort zone, as the fat yarn is turning into such a thick fabric. My stitches are also very uneven, partly because of pain in my hands. Hoping blocking will sort it out, but not sure how well blocking works with only 20% wool.

1 Jan - on 3rd yoke section; 2nd skein.
3 Jan - ripped back to yoke after getting K and P rows off-track somehow. Same thing nearly happened again but I added a row to fix it. Starting to look like it may be way too small.
12 Jan - trying to do a bit each day . now 3+inches below armhole.
18 Jan - making this hip-length and skipping waist shaping as many other knitters chose to do.
Not at all sure I will like the FO on my body.

I finally took this project out of the longterm storage basket, wove in the ends, photographed it, and packed it for donation to the hospice shop. It’s nice, but it isn’t me…hope someone else loves it!
