Looks like the lace and the yarn stretches, make at or near bust size (minimal positive ease, says the design).
Some folks have been doing this in the round to avoid seaming. One person makes a detailed case for not doing this, as it causes blocking problems and large patches of stockinette up the sides where lace patterns can’t be repeated. I’ll try flat first, just to be safe.
After a long hiatus (2 years!) it is BLOCK-O-CLOCK on the body. So proud of myself for picking this up again, this time, with more confidence about shaping lace. Sleeves up next.
2/7/2014! Another long hiatus! Let’s FINISH this for the Winter Ravellenics!

PIcked this up again for November 2015-- pushing to finish! I am so slow on stuff for myself! Also, shaping sleeve caps in lace is brutal. I made one sleeve back in 2014 and promptly chickened out afterwards-- I must have frogged it three or four times before I finally got it right.
Sleeve #2 in progress, working through the initial 6” of stockinette. I’ve found that _writing out_ the sleeve section with my size’s recommended numbers in place helps me since I am only including the instructions I need to pay attention to.

Blocking sleeves and body. The sleeve cap on both sleeves is longer than the pattern calls for, OMG I dearly hope this does not bite me in the ass when it comes to sewing it up.

Tldr; it bit me in the ass. Should have knit sleeves in the round. I don’t even want to commit to writing what I had to do to make the sleeves fit right. If you must know, TW: scissors

Finished all the knitting. The less said about mirrored short rows in lace, the better. The hood was okay once I got the hang of that.
Just need to icord the neckline and sew the sleeves up.

CODA: This has become my new favorite sweater to wear. For all that it was so hard for me to finish, it has paid off in being so handy.
