Casting on 80 stitches for Eric (size 11.5 mens). I’m starting this with a cuff of 12 rows of k2p2 rib. Usually Eric’s socks take so much material that I’m always playing yarn chicken. In this case, I think I’m going to have enough to make these on the long side, as he likes them.

RAR. I ripped the k2p2 cuff out when I read that the pattern already did have its own cuff. That line of instruction is placed over the chart instructions and I missed it.

Sock 1 done. I only needed to do one iteration of the left foot pattern.

05-09-2019

I washed the socks in a colors setting on medium heat with other colors. The yarn softened nicely (it was a bit scratchy) and the fit was even better, so it’s safe to say that he’s well pleased.
