04/12 Since I’m heading off on a trip this weekend, I wanted to take along a portable knit that didn’t require too much thinking, and used it as an excuse to head off to the yarn shop and buy some things I don’t need. Whoops. At least I had a coupon, right? Cast on and am halfway through the 1st section.
04/13 Finished the solid section and am several rows into the stripes now. Loving this!
04/16 Halfway through the stripes. I am so in love with both the pattern and the yarn - it’s a perfect combination. Seriously flying off the needles.
05/25 Okay, so it was flying off the needles, until I took a knit break for a while. Back in action and only need 2 more stripe pairs, then it’s onto the edge. Hooray! This yarn is impossibly cozy.
06/07 Had to break into the second skein of the main color to finish the last 1.5 rows of the stripe section. Damn. Now in the border section with three rows of purl bumps complete. End is in sight! Wahoo!
06/09 Bound off my Daybreak last night and was ecstatic… until I snagged an edge of it and the yarn snapped! After some expletives and a panic attack, my twitter knitters swiftly came in with suggestions on a fix - I decided to pick up and crochet that edge section, weaving in the loose ends. Thanks to the dark shade, you can’t really notice it.
