Pattern: The Free Elf

2.25mm hook and DK yarn.
For the eyes I’m using 12mm glass cabochons. 15mm eyes would probably look a bit nicer as Dobby the Elf has huge green eyes. I didn’t have any 15mm cabochons and didn’t want to buy a pack of 100 only for this project. I used super glue to glue the eyes. Gorilla glue didn’t work this time.

Dobby’s pillowcase dress was made with regular sc stitches. For everything else I used “yarn under” sc stitches.
I did try to make the dress with yarn under sc, but the dress turned out a bit too tight. With the regular yarn over sc it was the perfect size.

I used wire for the legs, arms, torso and neck.

Dobby is 23cm (9 inches) tall.
