I loved the original blanket. I had a big stash of leftovers in the correct colors.This included a cream coloured yarn with gold glitter,making in perfect for sun struck sand. It’s a pity that the pic. doesn’t do it justice.
The pattern was so easy and fast that I made 2 blankets for 2 cute babies.
Choosing the appropriate appliques and placing them was a different matter.There are so many great sea creature appliques out there,it gets so difficult to choose which to put without undermining the beauty of the original blanket.
All in all it was great fun,and I hope to have time to make a third one, because I have a very, very, long list of patterns I would like to try.
