Notes

I continue on my quest of learning something new with every project.
I loved this hat, and I loved the leaves and the way they meshed into the pattern and not being applied later. This seemed so difficult to make, and it IS. I worked on it a little bit every day, while at the same time, writing the pattern for use in the future. I did not publish the pattern. I think that will be an infringement on the owners work. But I found a pattern on pinterest that is close enough to what I learnt from the 3 part video. I hope it helps someone else.
I changed the way the ‘beans’ were made from that in the video. Instead of 7 fpdctog. I made 7dctog. It bulged out more like a real cherry, and still didn’t look out of place. If I have time to do another, I would replace the back post double crochets with single crochet. it would be much easier to make and less yarn consuming.
I would love to make another one, after I finish all the patterns lined up (if 2 life times are enough).
