I’ve started this adorable baby blanket using lovely Rowan Organic Wool dyed in natural colours. Can’t wait to see how it turns out! It is for the anticipated arrival for my friends Cara and Ben.

Now that this is all finished, I think it’s pretty adorable. The sequence I used for the repetition pattern was a bit of a mistake, but one of those mistakes that resulted in an end product better than what i had imagined. I intended to just do a regular stripe pattern, but screwed up after the first sequence. Rather than frog that row i decided to work backwards along the pattern, reversing the order once i got to the green. I think it really worked well.

To get a nice edge, knit to the last stitch of the row then bring yarn to front and slip the last stitch purlwise. Start the row by knitting into the back of the first stitch.

After blocking, the blanket measures 28” x 28” which is on the small size, but hopefully little Hannah can get some use out of it.
