Notes

Three partial skeins.
Gauge using 4.5mm needles was 4.5 stitches per inch and 7 rows per inch.

Easy knit except I thought the hat was too large for a toddler so I ended up ripping out the brim after finishing the hat and I decreased 16 stitches and then knit the k2p2 ribbing.

After finishing I realized the ribbing didn’t really shrink the size and then realized that I had used the same 4.5mm needle to do the ribbing. The pattern only calls for one needle size so it didn’t occur to me to go down a size.

I’m considering ripping out the ribbing again but think that I’ll try it on my granddaughter to get an idea of the fit before I do that. Maybe I won’t need to.

Ripped out ribbing, went down to a 3.25mm needle and did a k1p1 rib. This was way better, glad I did.
