I used a size Q - 16mm crochet hook for this project.
I used 3 - 100 gram balls of Vanna’s Choice in three different colours for each scarf.
Scarf #1 - Purple, fuchsia, black.
I followed the pattern and chained 104 stitches and joined in a loop being careful not to twist the loop.
I found that I got 4 rows of double crochet and one row of single crochet before I ran out of yarn. There was about 12” left over.
I measured the scarf after I’d finished it and it came out to about 90” so my gauge must have been bigger or my hook was slightly larger. The width of the scarf was 5.5” and I could loop it twice around my neck so three layers altogether.
Scarf #2 - Grey, white, black.
I chained 90 stitches for this one and got 5 rows of double crochet and one row of half-double crochet. Again I had about 18” of yarn left over.
This scarf measures 76” around and 7” wide and I could loop it once around my neck so two layers altogether.
Not sure which size I like the best, guess it would be a personal preference for each crocheter.
Scarf #3 - Black, white, blue.
I chained 95 stitches to get 5 rows of double crochet out of the balls. The length is 82” and the width 6”. You can wrap this double or single.
Hint for crocheting these scarves: Pull the yarn from the middle of the balls so they don’t flop around as you’re crocheting.
Time to make one of these is 1 - 1.5 hours.
