Notes

This block took around 8-9 hours to do. Probably the most involved afghan block that I’ve ever crocheted. The directions were very good but I did have to keep rereading parts to make sure I was working the block right.

The first part of the block involved crocheting the centre and setting up the framework for the second half, which are the petals of the flower. You’re almost doing two blocks in one. This is a heavy block.

You need patience for this one but the block is one of the prettiest I’ve ever done and I’m quite proud of it. Thank you Joyce.

Modification: I left out the last two rows of sawtooth border and just added one row of half-double crochet as my block turned out bigger than gauge.
