Worked this yarn a little looser to allow the fluff to fill in the stitches.

Long-tail cast-on 89 stitches using 6.5 mm bamboo needles, 16” circulars. Slip last stitch to working needle, purl 2 together, place marker. Switch to 4.0 mm needles for 1X1 ribbing.

Switch to dpns when needed (3.75 mm).

I asked Joan’s husband what her favorite color was so this could be a surprise. Joan crochets but doesn’t usually make hats.
