Notes

Started out making a Kureyon-Chan Bag, but knew it wasn’t going to be felted. Wanted it a bit bigger than the finished felted bag would be, cast on 24 stitches for the base, knit until square with needles 2 sizes smaller than yarn label suggested to get tight fabric. Picked up 24 sts on each of the sides and the cast-on edge for a total of 96 sts.

Counted rounds, did decrease round on round 16 (88 sts left), round 23 (80 sts left) and round 30 (72 sts left). Then continued to knit for a total of 42 rounds.

Didn’t want to knit I-Cord, used exact directions for the handles of the Japanese Knot Bag…shorter handle knit for 5 inches, longer handle knit for 10 1/2 inches. Placed stitches so the corner of the bag would line up with the center of the “knot”.

I really liked the size of this and the way it turned out, I’m going to make one for myself one day.
