This is really the ultimate hat that suits everyone. Even me. And I don’t have a head for hats.

I used double threads from the alpaca and a single thread from the Nimbus. I cast on 80 stitches in the round and knitted K2/P2 for 4 cm./1.5 inch. In the first round I increased 16 st. to 96 st. total. Alternated the two colors. Knitted until 24 cm./9.5 inches. Decreased for the crown:
K6, SSK (12x) 84 st.
K all st.
K5, SSK (12x) 72 st.
K all st.
K4, SSK (12x) 60 st.
K all st.
K3, SSK (12x) 48 st.
K all st.
K2, SSK (12x) 36 st.
K all st.
K1, SSK (12x) 24 st.
K all st.
SSK all st. (12x) 12 st.
Cut the thread, put all st. on a needle and pull the thread. Weave in the ends and voila: a hat!
