Cast on despite the fact that I don’t need another project on the needles. But I really want to see this one come to life, and there’s a tiny possibility I can get it finished before the end of the 2024 Festive KAL period. If not, so be it.

Cast on with the Chinese Waitress Cast On, will bind off with the Double Chain bind off to match the cast on.

Finished through the first MC section and ready to start the colors!

Finished with the center section, got the stitches cast back on for the right side. Used a Chinese Waitress cast on for the cast on - slightly different process than the original cast on but gives the same look and feel.

Hoping to finish by the end of next week (25 Jan) and think it’s possible if I can keep up with the 2 colors per day speed - on the days I have to knit. So 16 and 17 on the 19th, 18 and 19 on the 20th. Tuesday (21st) and Wednesday (22nd) likely no knitting time. Thursday (23rd) maybe 20 and 21? Friday (24th) 22 and 23, Saturday (25th) 24 and the MC bind off. Aggressive, but possible. If so, then I’ll need a new project for the February 2025 Mini Munch KAL instead of double dipping this one.

And just like that I’m falling behind. Still on track to finish, but not nearly as much knitting time as I expected to have today. Tomorrow is looking rough too. Glad I pushed a bit to get ahead.

Just updated my total usage for the mini skeins and I am just 0.3 skeins (6g) less than my previous Allsorts Cape. Two years apart - that’s pretty darn consistent!
