Weighs 66 g in total, so 22 g used of each colour (11 g per strip).
Each strip 20 ss x 68 rows.
Diameter of finished ball = 30 cm ? surely not!) when squeezed to a snug fit, and the space in the centre is, I think, a little smaller than a ping pong ball.

A great pattern for knitting machine newbies! I can’t put this lovely ball down :) Takes longer to assemble than to knit, but gives a great sense of achievement. Skills needed are few, but you get plenty of practice in grafting. On the other hand, if that’s too hard then any old seams can be used to join the ends as they are hidden in the ball. :)
Knitted in one long strip with waste yarn between the strips (12 rows), and started and finished on waste yarn. First two strips can be grafted into circles before starting, rest can be grafted one by one, as they are woven in.
Would have saved myself time if I had used ravel cord or similar in middle of WY sections, as had to snip and halve before assembly, which was time-consuming.
Assembly not difficult from pattern but I don’t think I could have done it without safety pins to pin strips in place as they are woven. But I wish I’d used the safety pins without the curly ends! Alternatively, pieces could probably be tacked (=US basted) in place.
The ball can also be pulled into the shape of a (small) hat - would be interesting to make a mega chunky hat using this pattern! Could equally serve as a nest or basket.
