-begin by using a provisional cast-on (seen in yellow) with two “center” stitches for the ends
-knit leaf pattern on edge, with 5 leaves on each end to make the u-turn (because of the two extra stitches)
-arrange the original stitches on two needles
-knit one round
-graft two halves together
