the folds just appear with this stitch pattern as you knit. it is truly amazing!

the rowan silk wool dk has a lovely subtle sheen, probably more in this colorway than in darker shades, and with just a little little fuzz from the merino it almost glows.

in the end, i should have picked a woolier yarn: blocking certainly made the pleats sharp, but when i put it on, it looks a bit droopy. still, the texture is beautiful and will definitely make again.
