According to my notes, an 18” hat should fit a 24 month old, but it fit my 3.5 year old with a 19.5” head. I was going to run out of yarn anyway, so I reknit it for a size 16”. The yarn pooled which was a bummer, but at least I didn’t run out.

Gauge 4.25”/inch.
CO 64”. Knit 1.5” garter stitch.
Not much yarn left, so I only knit 5” before starting the decreases instead of 6”.

Despite the pooling colors, looks cute with the cardigan and slippers.2
