Made spontaneously in March 2017 because I did not have a scarf for spring weather: my winter scarf was too warm and my summer scarf was too cold…
This is my first project that required a row counter.
I used my already washed sample to plan the final measurements.
I put a stitch marker at the end of each day to visualize my progress ;)
I used 2,2 skeins, but I have removed the light green color on the skeins because the color does not suit me. So in total, I used approx 2 skeins.
Some data:
size: 30 stitches x 425 rows
weight: 131 g
1 square: 5 stitches x 8 rows for planned 2,3 cm x 2,3cm (when washed),
Unwashed measurements: 13 cm x 135 cm
Washed measurements: 12 cm x 129 cm
-> 1cm width = 2,5 stitches, 1cm height = 3,29 stitches
needles: addi 5mm olive wood circular needles
stitch names: chess board pattern / checker board pattern / Schachbrettmuster
time: 11 days / approx 24 hours (knitting while watching TV)
Data of the sample (for future projects):
! shrinking of scarf and sample differ !
