We’re not sure if the Bean is a boy or girl…so I’m knitting projects in pairs - one for a girl, matched by one for a boy. This is the girl cardigan option! The unneeded items will be added to our gift stash for friends’ babies.
I’m hoping this pattern lives up to its name, and is quick!

I’ve just finished the knitting on this project. I would have been finished much more quickly but my husband has been sick.
The directions were simple, clear and easy to follow. I placed 5 yo buttonholes down the right front because I wasn’t convinced the buttons I want to use would push on through. Next time I’d space them out and only do 4. Next time I’d use a block coloured yarn too (not one that fades from colour to colour) - I had to wind my way halfway through a fresh skein to find a similar colour to rejoin for the right front.
Now I just need to weave in the ends (all three of them) and block it before sewing it up and adding the buttons.

Finally, a clear, warm day! Easy Cardigan is blocked and waiting to dry.

Easy Cardigan is all sewn up and I’m really pleased with the result. I think next time I do it I will count rows as well as measure, just to make sure all my trims etc match and sewing up is straightforward. Now, time to find some buttons…

All done! Button sewn on and I’m very happy. However, the Bean turned out to be a little boy called Hugo. This will be one for the gift stash.
