I’m really into textured patterns right now. So I was happy to test this new shawl pattern for Suvi!

Making a version with fingering weight yarn, knitting with a single strand (Pattern called for DK).

I enjoyed knitting this one and found it quite addictive. Perfect for tv knitting or alongside chatting. You always knit a couple of rows either in stockinette or garter stitch which makes it an easy knit but not boring at all. It was like a good book - you finish a chapter, start reading the next one, can’t stop until finishing that as well and all of a sudden you are almost done!

Did 10 pattern repeats with 3 skeins of Canopy.

The yarn is wonderful.
Soft, squishy, light and the bamboo gives it a silky sheen. It has a beautiful drape after blocking.

A few notes:

• one skein was enough to knit 5 pattern repeats

• two skeins were enough for 8 repeats

• with the third skein I knitted repeat 9+10 & did the BO and have 10g left

• make sure you do the BO’s loosely enough so the shawl can stretch during blocking!

• any stockinette-stitch-curling disappeared after blocking

• size after blocking: 190 x 45 cm
