Notes

Followed the pattern, but modified the number of rows in the stocking stitch sections and the lace sections. (I also did garter rows between these sections)

  • 8 rows stocking
  • 1 lace section
  • 8 rows stocking
  • 1 lace section
  • 10 rows stocking
  • 2 lace sections
  • 12 rows stocking
  • 2.5 lace sections

I had planned on 3 lace sections, but started getting low on yarn, so I omitted the garter border and BO after completing 2.5 (1 body and 1.5 extended) lace sections in the border section (BO after row 6).

After BO, I had about 6g left. Just needed a few more grams to complete 3 full lace sections at the border which can be easily gained by omitting some of the stocking rows. Maybe do 8 in each instead of increasing as I did.

Used Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.

Also used regular yarn overs because, as usual, I failed to read ALL the directions before I started.

I think it looks fabulous! And it’s really fun to knit which is a big plus!

The finished pictures best represent the beautiful pink of this Misti Alpaca Tonos Carnaval yarn.
