I joined the Knitalong, using larger needles and a thicker yarn than specified and ended up with a huge shawl. It envelopes my mum most dramatically. Love the pattern, a fabulous knit. I used small multicoloured beads which you can’t see in the photo, though they definitely add to the real thing. If I do this again, I’ll use pale yarn and dark beads, as the bead pattern deserves to be highlighted. Further thoughts on beading on blog.
