This hat looked so awesome on my sister I had to have one for myself.

This time, I stopped at row 14 of pattern and proceeded as follows:

Row 15: k2tog around
Row 16: k2tog around, k last st
Break yarn, thread through remaining sts, pull tight and secure on wrong side.

This gave the hat a more rounded, less pointy shape. Very happy with the results.
